Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise environments. You will work with a Deployment Strategist to co-build solutions, delivering real production-ready outcomes from day one across large strategic accounts.

You’ll ship code in collaboration with senior engineers, own end-to-end components, and stay at the forefront of AI/ML and data platform work while traveling ~25% to work directly with customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, ideally in AI/tech.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience is required.
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Ability to explain and iterate on prompts and prompts failures.
• Strong data modeling, APIs, and integration pattern knowledge.
• Ship quality code and evaluate AI outputs with rigor.
• Willingness to pilot new tools and models and stay curious.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real organizations.
• Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems.
• Own technical components end-to-end from architecture to deployment.
• Build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
• Model the data, ship the pipeline, validate the output.
• Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Co-build alongside customers and partners, sharing best practices.
• Surface platform gaps and field insights to senior engineers and product teams.
• Partner with Deployment Strategist to translate customer challenges into agentic solutions.
