Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston seeks a Site Director for our afterschool program in Pearland, TX. You will direct the program and staff, implement YMCA curriculum, and ensure a safe, engaging environment aligned with our core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, caring, and faith.

Responsibilities include site operations, safety drills, behavior management, and parent engagement while maintaining records and adherence to licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Age 21+ or older.
• High school diploma or GED with 70 hours training in youth development/recreational leadership/management; 2 college courses ≈100 hours.
• 1 year of youth-experience at a licensed facility, church, school, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee afterschool program operations, ensuring safety and a nurturing environment.
• Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and compliance records.
• Lead age-appropriate activities and monitor behavior.
• Ensure licensing compliance and program policies are followed.
• Plan and implement curriculum-adherent activities and supervise staff.
