Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a dedicated Site Director for the Pearland afterschool program. This role leads staff, ensures compliance with Texas childcare licensing, and delivers YMCA-enriched youth development experiences for children and families.

You will supervise safety, implement age-appropriate activities, and maintain documentation while promoting positive behavior and inclusive environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 70 clock hours training in child/youth development or management preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications required; Child Abuse prevention trainings required.
• Must be able to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Experience working with youth in licensed facilities or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site operations and ensure compliance with YMCA and state regulations.
• Maintain safety and proper supervision of all children and staff.
• Implement positive behavior management and age-appropriate activities.
• Ensure program planning aligns with YMCA curriculum and quality standards.
• Maintain attendance records and program documentation.
• Communicate with parents about child progress and concerns.
• Support program growth and community engagement.
