Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead in Katy, TX. You will oversee a licensed school-age program, ensuring safety, engagement, and high-quality activities for children.

Bring 1+ year of youth experience, a HS diploma or GED, and required certifications. Part-time hours align with school schedules; a temporary $3/hour stipend applies in eligible before/after school sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 70 clock hours of youth development/leadership training.
• Experience with youth in licensed childcare or school settings preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certs (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead a licensed school-age enrichment program ensuring safety, engagement, and quality.
• Coordinate daily operations, licensing compliance, and program activities.
• Build strong relationships with families, school partners, and YMCA staff.
• Maintain enrollment, attendance, and program records.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities per YMCA curriculum.
• Ensure program safety drills and health/sanitation standards.
