Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead in Conroe, TX for a part-time role in a licensed school-age enrichment program. You’ll ensure child safety, coordinate daily operations, implement the YMCA curriculum, and build strong relationships with families and school partners.

You will oversee licensing compliance, schedule activities, and supervise staff while maintaining records and ensuring a positive, engaging environment for children and families.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED; minimum 70 clock hours training in child/youth development or management.
• One year of experience with youth in licensed childcare, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities and programming.
• Experience with diverse populations.
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and FBI fingerprinting.
• Current TB test and health screenings/immunizations as required.
