Job summary

Kids for the Future is hiring for a part-time, non-exempt role located in Buena Vista Township, NJ. The employee must work at least 16 hours weekly and travel between district sites as assigned, implementing curriculum and supervising activities for youth in a YMCA-affiliated program.

The role requires a High School diploma, 18+ years of age, and CPR, First Aid, AED and oxygen certifications within 30 days of hire. Prior developmental experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Meets educational requirement of a minimum of a High School diploma.
• CPR, First Aid, AED and oxygen certifications must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Previous experience with children in a developmental setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements the curriculum and interacts with children within established guidelines.
• Works a minimum of 16 hours per week.
• Travels to site locations within the district as assigned.
• Nurtures children through purposeful programming focused on achievement and belonging.
• Supervises children, rooms, and activities including ADA accommodations; follows procedures.
• Knows and applies emergency procedures to ensure child safety.
• Develops positive relationships and communicates with parents and school staff; involves parents as volunteers.
• Maintains a clean, safe and positive environment for students and parents.
