Job summary

BT Woodland Hills Warrensville YMCA is hiring an Assistant Teacher to supervise children in licensed before/after school or early learning programs. You will build positive relationships with children and families while supporting a nurturing, inclusive environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and CPR/First Aid plus safety training within 30 days. Experience with diverse populations is preferred. On-site position in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience with children in a licensed setting preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification and Safety training within 30 days of hire.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of children in licensed before/after school or early learning programs.
• Foster positive, nurturing relationships with children and families.
• Support development and implement curriculum and lesson plans.
• Maintain safe, inclusive learning environments and address diverse needs.
• Promote active participation and positive peer interactions.
• Follow health, safety, and abuse reporting policies.
