Job summary

Metropolitan YMCA Of The Oranges Inc is seeking a mission-driven candidate for a supervisory role in our Before/After School program in New Jersey. You will attend to attendance, safety, and daily operations while guiding staff and maintaining quality activities for children.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required, college credits/degree preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels including staff, parents and school staff.
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions that adhere to the purpose, mission and goals of the YMCA.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and planning skills.
• 1-3 years Supervisory experience.
• 1-3 years working with children in a group setting in Before/Afterschool programs.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required.
• Experience adhering to Licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and thorough attendance of all students and staff each day.
• Ensure the safety of all children enrolled in the program by following supervision standards.
• Oversee and assign responsibilities each day including leading activities and supervision.
• Plan and implement a weekly curriculum incorporating physical activities, nutrition education, STEAM, and SEL activities.
• Promote Y Programs and Camps to families and assist with special events.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary program environment and ensure health guidelines are followed.
