Kids for the Future in Hammonton, NJ is seeking a part-time childcare facilitator to implement the curriculum and supervise afterschool activities. You will work early evenings and weekends as needed.
You will provide a safe, engaging environment, build relationships with children and families, and coordinate with school staff to support positive youth development and belonging.
1. Implements the curriculum and interacts with children within the established guidelines.
2. Required to work a minimum of 16 hours per week.
3. Required to travel to the site locations within the district that you are assigned to.
4. Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families.
5. Supervises the children, designated rooms, and all activities including ADA accommodations where appropriate. Follows all procedures and standards.
6. Knowledge of and ability to quickly implement emergency procedures to ensure safety of the children.
7. Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents, school staff, and Administration. Engages parents as volunteers and connects them to the YMCA.
8. Assists in maintaining the program site and equipment ensuring a clean, orderly, compliant, safe and positive environment for the students and parents
Meets educational requirement of a minimum of a High School diploma.
2. At least 18 years of age.
3. CPR, First Aid, AED and oxygen certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
4. Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
5. Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
6. Previous experience with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
