Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead in Katy, TX. This part-time role leads a licensed school-age program, ensuring safety, engagement, and quality while coordinating daily operations and licensing compliance with families and school partners.

You will oversee activity planning, supervision, and program evaluation, with a base pay of $14.00 per hour plus a temporary $3.00/hour stipend for eligible sites serving local ISDs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with youth development training.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications preferred or required.
• Experience with youth in licensed settings and ability to supervise safely.

Responsibilities

• Lead licensed after-school program; ensure safety and engagement for children.
• Coordinate daily operations, implement YMCA curriculum, and maintain licensing compliance.
• Build strong relationships with families, school partners, and YMCA staff.
• Maintain enrollment, attendance records, and program quality standards.
• Plan age-appropriate activities and drive program growth and retention.
• Communicate with families about progress and concerns.
