Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead to oversee a licensed school‑age program in Katy/Conroe/Humble ISD areas. You’ll ensure child safety, implement YMCA curriculum, and maintain regulatory compliance while guiding staff and engaging families daily.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year youth work experience, and relevant certifications (CPR/First Aid/AED). The role is part‑time with emphasis on afterschool and minor weekend shifts when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 70 clock hours in youth development or related field.
• At least 1 year of youth work in licensed childcare or school setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED and Child Abuse Prevention certifications or ability to obtain.
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and FBI fingerprinting requirements, TB test.

Responsibilities

• Lead licensed afterschool program site, ensuring safety and engagement for all children.
• Coordinate daily operations, implement the YMCA curriculum, and ensure licensing compliance.
• Maintain attendance records, enrollments, and program documentation accurately.
• Build strong relationships with families, school partners, and YMCA staff.
• Oversee staff, safety drills, and program quality aligned with Y standards.
• Plan age‑appropriate activities and promote positive behavior and inclusion.
