Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta seeks an Afterschool Site Director to oversee daily operations at Cowart Family Ashford Dunwoody YMCA in Dunwoody, GA. You will develop enrichment activities for elementary students and ensure program quality and safety.

You will supervise staff, coordinate trainings, maintain records, and ensure compliance with YMCA and Bright from the Start standards while supporting virtual learning as needed. Strong communication and Office tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a minimum credential that meets BFTS Site Directors requirement.
• Experience with school-age children in a group setting.
• Licensed setting and supervision of staff is a plus.
• Evidence of CPR/First Aid training (biennial).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and online platforms (Google Classroom and Zoom).
• Fingerprint background check required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment with diverse activities to support program goals.
• Conduct daily assessments to ensure YMCA and BFTS compliance.
• Supervise staff and communicate concerns with the Program Director.
• Maintain staff and student files for regulatory compliance.
• Compile attendance records and program information.
• Coordinate supply orders with the Program Director.
• Attend scheduled training with BFTS, YMCA and others.
• Maintain BFTS annual training hours.
• Consult with Directors on student development or behavior concerns.
• Provide input into program planning and development.
• Complete monthly self-assessments of the program.
• Assist students with virtual learning assignments as needed.
• Implement YMCA safety protocols, including COVID-related measures.
