Job summary

The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Content Specialist for Castle Hill YMCA to select and manage program content and curricula across COMPASS initiatives. You will oversee implementation, coach staff, and enhance program quality, ensuring alignment with YMCA standards.

The role requires at least a Bachelor's in Education (Master's preferred) and 2+ years with youth, plus 1+ year in a supervisory capacity focused on curriculum and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children under 13.
• Minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory/oversight role with content development and staff coaching.
• Experience in developing education-based curriculum/lesson plans.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Select and manage content across program areas; create curricula and lesson plans as needed.
• Oversee lesson plan implementation and support staff for effective delivery.
• Coach staff with strategies to enhance instruction and classroom management.
• Ensure content alignment with high-quality standards of the Y Afterschool Programs.
• Provide professional development for program staff.
