Job summary

YMCA of Greater New York in Harlem is seeking a Content Specialist for the Y Afterschool Program. You will select and manage content across multiple COMPASS programs, oversee lesson plan implementation with Activity and Inclusion staff, and coach staff to strengthen classroom management and engagement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Education, 2+ years working with children under 13, and 1+ year supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years experience with children under 13.
• 1+ year supervisory/oversight experience.

Responsibilities

• Select and manage content across all program areas, including curricula.
• Oversee lesson plan implementation and support staff to ensure quality.
• Coach staff with strategies for instruction, behavior, and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with OCFS, DOH, and partner standards.
