Job summary

The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Content Specialist at the McBurney YMCA in New York, NY. This part-time role supports afterschool programs by selecting and managing curricula for COMPASS programs, coaching staff, and ensuring high-quality content delivery.

Under the supervision of the Program Director, you will oversee implementation, provide training, and help improve program quality and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select and manage content across all required program areas.
• Oversee lesson plan implementation and support staff to ensure effective implementation of lesson plans.
• Coach staff by providing strategies to enhance lesson facilitation and classroom management.
• Review content to ensure alignment with high-quality standards.
• Provide professional development for program staff to improve overall program quality.
• Assist participants in achieving comprehension and retention of subject material and improved academic skills.
