Job summary

The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA is seeking a Part Time, nonexempt Program Supervisor to lead the after‑school program, ensure safety, and maintain staff ratios in a Tampa location. Responsibilities include coordinating with the school, communicating with parents, and supervising counselors.

Required: HS diploma or GED, 3+ years youth experience with 1 year in leadership, and CPR/First Aid certifications within specified timelines. Ability to transport and travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; CDA or higher preferred/optional.
  • Minimum 3 years of youth-related experience and 1 year in leadership.
  • Able to work cooperatively with children, parents and peers; demonstrate character and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the program site.
  • Maintain headcounts and staff ratio at all times.
  • Coordinate with the school to engage families and staff.
  • Communicate with parents about the program and their child’s participation.
  • Ensure safety and risk management procedures are followed.
  • Lead staff meetings, coaching, and development.
