Job summary

YMCA of Central Florida is seeking a dedicated After School Supervisor to oversee a middle school group in an after-school program. You will build nurturing relationships with youth and coordinate with parents while promoting safety and program guidelines.

Responsibilities include guiding activities, ensuring attendance, and maintaining a positive, inclusive environment aligned with the YMCA core values. This role requires flexible scheduling and compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; one year of college a plus.
• Previous experience with children in after-school or childcare preferred.
• At least 18 years of age; CPR/First Aid/AED and Child Abuse Prevention training within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of middle school students (6th–8th) after school.
• Build positive relationships with children and parents/caregivers.
• Ensure safety and welfare of each child during all activities.
• Facilitate activities, sign-in/out procedures, attendance, and headcounts.
• Maintain clean and safe facilities and report hazards.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
