Job summary

Commonpoint is seeking an After School Group Leader within the Youth Education Services Department to supervise students in grades Kindergarten through Eighth, facilitate activities, provide academic support, and foster positive relationships that promote youth development and well-being.

The role reports to the Assistant Program Director and Program Director, and requires Monday–Friday hours 2:00 PM–6:00 PM at the Bronx site, 2100 Lafontaine Ave.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children under 13.
• Associate's degree preferred; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students from Kindergarten through Eighth grade.
• Provide homework assistance and promote positive study habits.
• Plan and facilitate engaging educational and enrichment activities.
• Model respectful behavior and implement SEL in daily programming.
• Complete attendance and document program activities and incidents.
