Job summary

Propel Afterschool seeks passionate individuals to serve as Classroom Leads at all Propel schools. This part-time role runs Monday–Thursday, approx. 3:30–6:00 p.m., with a schedule that aligns to school days and excludes Fridays and breaks.

You will create a safe, engaging environment where scholars explore activities, build relationships, and develop confidence after the school day. Ideal candidates are energetic, dependable, and team players who model professionalism and communicate

Qualifications

• Energetic and dependable candidate who can engage scholars positively.
• Experience working with children or in afterschool settings is preferred.
• Strong communication with scholars, families, and staff is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of scholars through daily enrichment activities and routines.
• Facilitate engaging enrichment activities during teacher-led time.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom culture.
• Maintain active engagement with scholars during all activities.
• Support positive behavior through relationships and clear expectations.
• Assist with homework support and hands-on learning experiences.
• Supervise transitions, meals, and outdoor play while ensuring safety.
• Collaborate with the Site Coordinator and other staff.
