Propel Afterschool is seeking passionate individuals for Afterschool Substitute Classroom Lead roles across our schools. Classroom leads create safe, engaging, and enriching experiences for scholars, guiding daily routines and enrichment activities after the school day ends.

Successful candidates build positive relationships, adapt to varied schedules, and demonstrate professionalism while supporting academics, behavior, and inclusive learning in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• Experience in afterschool settings preferred.
• Background working with students in school or program settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily enrichment activities and routines for scholars.
• Facilitate teacher-led activities and student engagement.
• Create a welcoming classroom culture that respects all scholars.
• Maintain active engagement through games, conversations, and hands-on learning.
• Support positive behavior through relationships and clear expectations.
• Assist with homework support and academic enrichment.
• Supervise transitions, meals, outdoor play, and field trips as needed.
• Collaborate with site coordinators and other staff; communicate professionally with families.
