Job summary

Omni Hotels in the United States is seeking a friendly server to greet guests, take orders, and deliver exceptional service in our dining rooms.

You will use MICROS for orders and payments, maintain clean work areas, and coordinate with the kitchen on dietary needs and daily specials.

This role requires a minimum of one year serving experience, a Food Handler cert, and the ability to stand for long periods; weekend and holiday shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year serving experience, preferably in high-volume environments.
• Unexpired Food Handlers certification or obtain upon hire.
• Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience presenting specialty cocktails.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication with guests, management and co-workers.
• Experience inputting information into MICROS accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a courteous smile and superior service.
• Take orders and offer menu and daily specials suggestions.
• Communicate dietary needs and allergies to the culinary team.
• Record transactions in MICROS and handle payments accurately.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Set up and break down stations and complete side work duties.
• Ensure tables are set up properly and glasses are clean.
• Provide service according to Omni Moments of Service Standards.
• Protect hotel from liability with regard to over-serving guests.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.
