Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist to support the Inpatient Surgery team at Allen Medical Center. You will prepare sterile instruments, maintain the sterile field, and assist surgical teams during procedures.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology, and certification. One year of perioperative experience is preferred; CPR knowledge is a plus. This is a part-time, 20-hour weekly schedule with afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold CST/NBSTA/TS-C or NCCT certification.
• One year perioperative or related surgical tech experience preferred.
• Associates degree or certification in Surgical Technology is required.

Responsibilities

• Functions as the scrub person and assists during operative procedures.
• Prepares sterile supplies and instruments and performs surgical counts.
• Maintains sterile field and assists with drapes and instrument delivery.
• Retrieves and labels specimens; reports implanted devices, catheters, and packing.
