Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Central Staffing Specialist for the Greater Manchester Region. The role involves assisting Staffing Coordinator in scheduling department staff, generating and updating schedules, and ensuring shifts align with budgetary constraints and payroll timelines.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in hospital staffing or related office work and strong skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This on-site position supports clinical operations across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years in Hospital Staffing or related office experience.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in a time keeping or scheduling software strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Staffing Coordinator to align staffing operations with organizational staffing expectations and goals.
• Ability to cover for Central Staffing Specialist and complete daily Staffing Office tasks when necessary.
• Utilizes computer software to prepare, change and update the clinical schedules.
• Ensures nursing units are staffed utilizing the applicable templates.
• Reconciles schedules to be final in staffing and scheduling system by due date.
• In collaboration with manager, approves/denies scheduling and time off requests.
• Reconciles timecards by managing missed punches, unexcused absences, unscheduled shifts, etc. with support from the Central Staffing Specialist.
