Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Lab Supervisor in Irving, TX, Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The role directs the section to maximize throughput within budget while ensuring quality results.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, performing advanced tests, ensuring QA, and maintaining safety standards; requires at least five years of supervisory experience and a strong clinical lab background. Equal opportunity employer.

Competenze

• Minimum five (5) years full-time supervisory experience.
• 6 years clinical experience.
• KNOWLEDGE of CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and laboratory safety requirements.

Mansioni

• Oversee activities of the department, distribute/assign work, determine priorities, schedule non-routine procedures.
• Perform supervisory functions for assigned staff including interviewing, hiring, training and performance evaluation.
• Perform advanced/specialized tests and related laboratory techniques; re-evaluate methodology and recommend changes.
• Check/approve all specialized and problem reports for accuracy.
• Initiate quality-control measures and monitor quality of work for adherence to laboratory standards.
• Perform duties of technologist as needed by absence or peak workload.
• Complete training and competency checklists; maintain safe, sanitary lab areas.
• Support government or regulatory inspections as needed.
