Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Irving, TX is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist Group Lead for a Monday–Friday schedule (12:00 PM–8:30 PM). The role requires 3–5 years of MLS experience, leadership capabilities, and strong knowledge of SOPs, QC, and instrument operations.

Qualifications

Three to five years of clinical MLS experience in the designated discipline.
Foreign-educated candidates must provide credential evaluation (IERF) or equivalent; U.S.-educated candidates must provide a detailed transcript.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate proficiency in all duties of a Medical Technologist I and II.
Perform and report on assigned analytical tests per SOPs with QC compliance.
Adhere to lab policies for specimen handling, processing, analysis, reporting, and record-keeping.
Maintain turnaround times including STAT/critical results communication.
Perform and document QC analyses and ensure instrument calibration and proper test disposition.
Investigate analytical problems and provide guidance to resolve issues beyond limits.
Support Lab Supervisor in workflow management, training, and performance reviews.
Ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper operation of equipment and work areas.
Assist with competency testing and regulatory inspections as needed.
