Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is required or equivalent.
• ASCP certification is preferred.
• Minimum five years of supervisory experience in a lab.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department activities, assign work, and set priorities within budget and quality standards.
• Hire, train, and develop staff; conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
• Perform advanced/specialized tests and validate results; reassess methods as needed.
• Approve reports for accuracy and initiate quality-control measures.
• Act as technologist during peak workload or absences; support regulatory inspections.
• Maintain lab safety and equipment, and ensure compliance with CLIA/HIPAA/OSHA.
