Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Irving, TX is seeking a Lab Assistant II to support laboratory teams with precise specimen handling and data entry. The role runs Tuesday to Saturday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with a pay range starting at $17.20 per hour.

Qualifications

• One year full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory.
• Ability to follow a series of steps accurately and independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and LIS usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receiving, labeling, handling and preparation.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens and load automated instruments.
• Record digital temperature and notify licensed personnel if out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Enter data in laboratory information systems and perform QA/QC duties.
