Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking an Aftercare Aide for St. Francis Borgia Grade School in Washington to supervise students after school hours. The role focuses on safety, structure, and a welcoming environment for children from preschool through 8th grade.

Responsibilities include organizing activities, monitoring behavior, and supporting a faith-filled atmosphere aligned with Catholic education values. Training and background screening per archdiocesan policy are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, daycare, camp, or similar setting preferred.
• Ability to manage groups of children in a calm, nurturing, and effective manner.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be dependable, patient, and flexible.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Completion of Archdiocesan Safe Environment training and background screening required.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and engage with students during after-school hours in a safe and supportive setting.
• Organizing activities, games, and snacks for children ranging from preschool through 8th grade.
• Monitor student behavior and ensure compliance with school and program guidelines.
• Support a positive, faith-filled environment that reflects the values of St. Francis Borgia School.
• Help with cleanup and maintaining a tidy, organized space at the end of each session.
• Communicate any concerns or incidents to the Aftercare Director in a timely manner.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
