Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is seeking part-time youth mentors for after-school shifts from 2:30 pm to 6 pm during the school year, with potential summer work at camps. You will help implement educational, enrichment, and recreational activities for members and assist in daily scheduling and program delivery.

Ideal candidates bring youth development experience, a high school diploma (GED acceptable), and the ability to motivate youth, coordinate with families,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older with 600 hours in a school-age program, or 3 relevant credits.
• Employees 19+ may join senior program.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required by licensing.
• Occasional travel or driving a club van may be required with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that facilitates youth development outcomes and program participation.
• Orient new members to scheduling and program expectations (Be Safe, Be Kind, Take Care).
• Provide guidance, role modeling, and feedback to promote development and skill building.
• Demonstrate leadership with safety and licensing best practices.
• Document issues via injury/incident reports and communicate with licensing agencies.
