The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is recruiting youth mentors at our Suncook, NH location. The role supports educational, enrichment, and recreational activities for members aged 5–18, helping them succeed and grow into responsible citizens.

Responsibilities include preparing development-focused activities, supervising groups, coordinating with families, and ensuring safety and program quality.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18+ with 600 hours in a school-age program.
• 3 credits in child development/education/recreation or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Employees 19+ may be assigned to the senior program.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Ability to communicate with parents/guardians.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications to meet licensing requirements.
• Occasional travel for meetings/training may be required.
• May be asked to drive Club van/short bus (21+) with safe driving record.
• Record of safe driving may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare Youth for Success.
• Creates an environment for Youth Development Outcomes and program participation.
• Orientates new members to daily scheduling and program expectations.
• Provide guidance, role modeling, and constructive feedback to members.
• Demonstrate leadership through safety and licensing practices.
• Account for members in assigned group by name, face, and attendance.
• Oversee and assist in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining program space.
• Effectively implements programs, services, and activities for members.
• Monitor and evaluate programs for safety, quality, and appearance.
• Evaluate programs through outcome metrics and ensure cultural responsiveness.
• Document problems via injury/incident reports.
• Communicate with child care licensing and DCYF when applicable.
• Participate in special programs and staff meetings.
• Facilitate professional communication with families, staff, and members.
• Other duties as assigned.
