Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is hiring a Youth Development Leader for after‑school and day camp programs. You’ll create a safe, engaging environment where kids learn, play, and grow.

You’ll lead activities, mentor youth, and model YMCA values such as honesty, respect, responsibility, caring, and faith.

Part‑time schedule; duties include ISD calendar days, some Saturdays, with opportunities for professional development and meaningful community impact.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED required; experience with youth preferred.
• CPR/First Aid/AED and child protection training or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead before/after‑school and day camp activities that are safe, fun, and enriching.
• Provide supervision, guidance, and positive behavior support for youth.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful environment and build strong relationships with families.
