Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader to guide after-school and day camp programs. You will create a safe, energetic environment where youth feel supported and excited to learn, while building strong relationships with families and staff.

You'll lead activities, model YMCA values, and ensure compliance with licensing standards. The role includes part-time schedules with weekday afternoons and occasional Saturdays, offering meaningful community impact.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months’ experience with youth in licensed settings preferred.
• CPR/First Aid/AED training or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead before/after school and day camp programs with energy, creativity, and compassion.
• Create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for youth.
• Be a role model by modeling YMCA values in daily activities.
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and teammates.
• Ensure program spaces meet safety and licensing standards.
