Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica is seeking Youth Development Professionals to supervise and implement high‑yield activities for 1st–5th graders at seven local SMMUSD elementary schools. The role emphasizes mentorship, safety, and engaging after‑school programming.

You will build supportive relationships with youth, follow safety procedures, and help develop educational, social, and emotional skills while promoting enrollment and family engagement.

Qualifications

  • Available to work Mon–Fri 12pm–6pm; 15–25 hours/week during the School Year.
  • Two years of experience working with youth, preferably elementary.
  • Experience facilitating programs and developing engaging activities for youth.
  • Background check and TB test clearance required; CPR & First Aid certification upon employment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and implement activities for Club members (1st–5th grade).
  • Build positive relationships with elementary youth and ensure safety during programming.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and role modeling to youth.
