Job summary

Santa Monica Boys & Girls Club is seeking a Playground Club Site Coordinator to lead on‑site programming at a Santa Monica elementary site. You will drive youth engagement, collaborate with school leadership, and supervise on‑site youth development staff.

The role emphasizes safety, play‑based activities, and SEL‑driven programming, with strong organizational skills and community outreach to families. 25–29 hours per week, nonexempt, located at an elementary school site in Santa Monica.

Qualifications

Experience facilitating programming for elementary youth with SEL and trauma‑informed practices.
Knowledge of local Santa Monica/LA school districts and partnerships.
Experience supervising staff, volunteers, or interns and coaching/team development.
Strong organizational and planning skills using Microsoft 365 apps and databases.

Responsibilities

Serve as on‑site lead for SMBGC programming at the school, driving youth engagement and enrollment.
Collaborate with Playground Club Manager to design and implement quality afterschool activities outdoors.
Supervise 2–3 Youth Development Professional staff, including scheduling and trainings.
Ensure safety protocols for physical, emotional, and environmental safety of youth and manage site resources.
