Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support and implement diverse programs for youth aged 5–18. The role reports to the Unit Director and involves engaging youth in safe, enriching activities before and after school, with a focus on three priority outcomes: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship.

Youth Development Professionals work to build confidence, organize activities, and ensure safety while fostering

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old (18 for DCYF supervision)
• High school diploma, GED, or active enrollment preferred
• Ability to stay positive and organized in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to model BGCSC values of fun, respect, integrity, community, and acceptance
• Prior experience with youth development preferred
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification or ability to obtain upon hire

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Director in planning and implementing activities that foster belonging
• Manage program supplies and equipment
• Engage youth in sports, STEM, arts and crafts
• Supervise youth in accordance with DCYF and BGCSC standards
• Maintain safety and supervise behavior using SEL and trauma-informed practices
• Prepare snacks following food safety guidelines
• Maintain club spaces clean and organized
• Complete and maintain required training and development
