Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is seeking a full-time staff member for our North Country Clubhouse. The role focuses on mentoring youth, developing curriculums, ensuring safety, and maintaining records.

Strong communication with families and staff is essential. The position involves supervising staff and volunteers, coordinating with the team, and promoting BGCCNNH programs through various channels.

Qualifications

• Must be an associate teacher qualified before November 6, 2017 or have 1000 hours of supervised child care experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Knowledge of current teaching methods and curriculum development.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs with creative teaching strategies.
• Ability to supervise members in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops a nurturing environment and responds to individual children's needs and interests.
• Plans and implements curriculum tailored to meet unique needs with an emergent curriculum approach.
• Ensures health and safety, tracks outcomes, and maintains program goals.
• Records observations and maintains attendance while updating records.
• Oversees implementation of standards and safety policies.
• Administers medications and provides first aid as needed, with family communication.
• Maintains classroom cleanliness and organization.
• Facilitates communication with families, staff, and children.
• Supervises staff, practicum students, and volunteers, providing feedback.
• May lead planning meetings and promote programs via schedule postings and family emails.
