Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Jr. Youth Development Professional to support a school-age childcare program for ages 6–12, under the IPT and Club Director. The role emphasizes safety, program delivery across core areas, positive role modeling, and adherence to Delacare rules and BGCDE policies.

Typical hours include after-school shifts 3:00PM–6:00PM during the school year and 7:00AM–6:00PM in summer, with up to 25–40 hours weekly possible depending on openings and events.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have own transportation and ability to travel to events.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with current Delacare rules for school-age centers.
• Assist in delivering age-appropriate programs and activities for children ages 6–12.
• Maintain safe program operation including equipment, facilities, and weather considerations.
• Serve as a positive role model for children at all times.
• Adhere to Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware policies and Delaware STARS.
• Take on additional tasks as needed.
