Job summary

Arc Experience in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator to support the Site Coordinator, supervise student safety, and help run enrichment activities after school. You will develop lesson plans, monitor attendance, and ensure grant compliance while building leadership skills.

The role is part-time and non-exempt, with a schedule Monday to Friday: Morning 6am-8am and Afternoon 2pm-6pm (one day minimum day around 12pm-6pm).

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years in after-school programs or youth recreation.
Strong communication with kids and parents.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Ability to develop and manage lesson plans; track attendance; ensure safety.

Responsibilities

Assist the Site Coordinator by acting as second point of contact for parents and administrators.
Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
Establish and enforce rules to promote positive behavior.
Coordinate, manage, and participate in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
Attend trainings to stay updated on best practices in childcare, safety, and program management.
Facilitate sign-up procedures to ensure accurate attendance tracking.
Create unique clubs for students (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance).
Organize and lead activities including homework help, games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
