Cherry Creek Careers is seeking an individual to implement the child care program and assume director or assistant director duties in their absence. You will help foster strong community relations with families and school partners.

Qualities include leadership, experience in a child care setting, and commitment to high-quality care for school-age children. This on-site role emphasizes safety, communication, and program quality.

Formación

• Leader must be present at center at least 40% of operation days or whenever director/assistant director are absent.
• Age 18+ with at least 3 months (≈460 hours) of verifiable school-aged childcare experience.
• Experience in a paid childcare program; para-educator or licensed teaching experience.
• Leader must demonstrate ability to work with school-age children.
• Annual 15 hours of training (June 1 to May 31).
• Knowledge of most aspects of childcare.
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate discipline procedures.
• Some leadership and management skills.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions and solve problems effectively.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Complete Injury Prevention training (department-approved).
• Complete playground safety training for School-Aged Child Care Centers.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

Responsabilidades

• Follows and enforces Rules Regulating School-Age Child Care Centers.
• Follows and enforces procedures as stated in the ECS Procedures Manual.
• Assumes supervisory role when director and/or assistant director are absent.
• Maintains safe conditions for all students and staff.
• Follows and enforces program discipline procedures.
• Assists with maintenance, proper storage, and repair of equipment, and supplies.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities, arts and crafts projects, and program quality.
• Works toward the goal of providing high-quality childcare.
• Demonstrates excellent communication with parents, staff, and coworkers.
• Follows district policies and uses district facilities with care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
