Job summary

Right At School – a place to be a kid! Program Manager oversees before/after school programs, ensuring safety, engagement, and high-quality experiences for students. You’ll supervise staff, coordinate with families, and align with licensing and program policies.

Ideal candidates have child development knowledge, state credentials, and 2+ years supervisory experience with children. Salary ranges per hour apply for a New York program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Associate degree or higher in a related education field.
• New York state credentials or equivalent child care certification.
• 2+ years of supervising children and managing programs.
• Experience working with children and knowledge of special needs.
• Ability to meet state requirements including First Aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Lead program operations to ensure safety and joy for participants.
• Coach staff and maintain site documents and licensing standards.
• Engage families, partners, and staff with clear communication.
• Manage attendance, check-ins, and daily activities.
• Coordinate with Area Manager to meet program goals.
