Job summary

Right At School in Tenafly, NJ is seeking a Program Manager to oversee before- and after‑school programs, ensuring safe, engaging activities and compliance with state licensing. You will lead a team of staff, coach instructors, and implement daily routines that blend safety, learning, and fun for children.

This role requires clear communication with families and school partners, accurate attendance and check‑in procedures, and collaboration with the Area Manager to achieve program goals.

Qualifications

• Experience juggling competing priorities while delivering quality service to stakeholders.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children and knowledge of unique needs.
• Coursework or training in child development or related field.
• Strong communication skills with adults and children.
• Ability to model professional standards with students, parents, staff, and community.
• Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
• Must be 18+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and joy standards; coach staff; maintain site documents and licensing compliance.
• Support and report on safety protocols; verify required immunizations.
• Engage with families and client partners; respond to inquiries during program hours.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure check-in/out procedures are followed.
• Implement daily activities, fitness, and curriculum in a safe, engaging environment.
