Job summary

Right At School in New York City is seeking a Program Manager to oversee after-school programs, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children and families. The role focuses on coordinating staff, maintaining licensing standards, and delivering high-quality enrichment activities.

The ideal candidate will manage competing priorities, communicate clearly with families and partners, and maintain accurate attendance records while supporting program goals with the Area Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Experience working with children and knowledge of special needs.
• Coursework or training in child development.
• Ability to model professional standards with students, parents, staff, and community.
• Willingness to learn Google tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and joy standards across staff, update attendance policies and licensing documents.
• Assist with safety protocols and timely reporting to ensure participant well-being.
• Communicate effectively with families, client partners, peers, and children.
• Keep accurate records of student check-ins and check-outs according to policy.
• Plan daily activities, fitness, and curriculum to create a safe, engaging environment.
