Job summary

YMCA of San Diego County is seeking a licensed Site Supervisor for after-school programs serving children ages 5-12. You will lead staff, plan activities, manage budgets, and ensure safety at YMCA facilities or school sites.

The role requires strong leadership, documentation, and coordination with schools and families. Must pass health, background, and safety certifications; positions require flexible scheduling in the afternoon hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older and a high school graduate.
• 1–4 years working in a child and youth development, education, or comparable setting.
• Criminal background clearance in accordance with YMCA and licensing guidelines; TB test and health requirements.
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification from a recognized organization (American Red Cross/Heart Association/SHI).
• Proof of required licensing and safety trainings within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction for YMCA staff at the program location.
• Manage monthly expenses to meet program needs and ensure positive fiscal outcomes.
• Lead daily and monthly planning and provide age-appropriate activities for 5–12 year olds.
• Maintain accurate program paperwork and staff scheduling.
• Maintain safety, ratios, and effective communication with families, schools, and partners.
• Coordinate with school personnel to align academic activities and student services.
• Ensure space is clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures.
