Job summary

After-School All-Stars is seeking a Part-Time Program Leader in Los Angeles, CA to oversee and support academic, cultural, and recreational enrichment for K-12 students. The role emphasizes safety, supervision, and engaging activities after school hours.

You'll work under the Program Coordinator, coordinating with school staff and guardians while maintaining quality program standards and a positive, collaborative environment. Evening availability and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with K-12 students in recreational/educational settings.
• Ability to work cooperatively with School District staff, officials, parents, and community leaders.
• Familiarity with quality criteria for after school programs.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respond to emergencies.
• Must clear TB screening and DOJ/FBI Live Scan prior to hire.
• Fluency in a language other than English desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning and implementing the daily after-school program.
• Maintain a 20:1 student ratio using recruitment and retention strategies.
• Develop positive relationships with youth, guardians, and school staff.
• Track attendance data and program progress for QA processes.
• Prepare supplies and create a creative enrichment environment.
