Job summary

After-School All-Stars Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Program Leader in Los Angeles, CA. You will support and supervise after-school activities, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for students in grades K-12 and coordinating with school staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in K-12 in recreational, educational or community settings.
• Ability to collaborate with School District staff, parents and community leaders.
• Strong communication and sensitivity to others; respond to emergencies calmly.
• Must be 18+ years old and have HS diploma or GED with required exam or higher education.
• Background check (DOJ/FBI) clearance required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning and implementing the daily after-school program.
• Maintain a 20:1 student-to-staff ratio.
• Build positive relationships with youth, guardians and school staff.
• Communicate attendance, progress and concerns to supervisor.
• Supervise activities and ensure a safe, engaging environment.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to program quality.
