Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers seeks an After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing a child care program. You will develop and promote strong relationships with families and school staff while supporting quality programming.

The role requires familiarity with licensing standards, daily supervision of students, and collaboration with the director to deliver engaging activities and safe environments in an extended childcare setting.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• The leader must be 18 or over.
• Must have completed at least one of: three months of verified care/supervision experience, or a current Early Childhood Professional Credential Level I (V3.0).
• Annual training hours: at least 15 clock hours (June 1–May 31).
• Knowledge of childcare basics; ability to use appropriate discipline procedures; leadership and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all licensing requirements; daily supervision of students (15% time).
• Maintain safe conditions for students and staff (10%).
• Promote and market the program (5%).
• Implement quality lesson plans and assist with planning (15%).
• Assist with equipment storage and maintenance (5%).
• Contribute enrichment ideas and plan field trips (5%).
• Attend monthly staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned (5%).
