Job summary

Read Better Be Better seeks an After-School Literacy Program Coach to deliver its literacy program in a school setting. This part-time role supports up to 32 students and may involve K-1 and 2-3 program delivery with student Leaders.

The Coach operates with minimal supervision, attending regular training and meetings, and ensuring materials, attendance, and program flow are managed according to district procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Basic computer/technology skills including email and applications used for communication, program attendance and payroll.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (RBBB offers reimbursements for application and fingerprint service fees).

Responsibilities

• Attend RBBB Orientation and Program Coach Training before placement.
• Prepare program materials and ensure readiness for student arrival.
• Take class attendance and facilitate program activities.
• Encourage student participation and engagement.
• Follow program procedures and school guidelines.
• Wrap up sessions and return site to order; store materials for next use.
• Train and monitor student Leaders as needed.
• Maintain communication with school staff to optimize student experience.
• Report program successes and challenges to the Program Coordinator.
• Attend weekly offsite Coach meetings and all-team meetings at HQ.
