Job summary

The YMCA of the Pueblo is seeking a compassionate Site Leader to oversee the After Care program, providing a safe, enriching environment for school-age children and supporting staff.

You will administer and implement programs, supervise aftercare staff, manage administrative tasks, and foster relations with children and families, promoting learning through play and hands-on activities.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Experience working with children.
• Must enjoy working with children.
• Safe driving record; a current MVR required.
• Possess an appropriate class license.
• Knowledge of rules for commercial passenger vehicles (bus).
• Current state CPR & First-Aid certification (or obtain within 30 days).
• Fingerprint clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Two years of college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, implements, and directs childcare program and staff at a specific site.
• Maintains state licensing rules and YMCA childcare program standards.
• Develops positive relationships with children and parents.
• Encourages member involvement and identifies potential volunteers.
• Controls, orders supplies and maintains inventory.
• Ensures site records and administrative procedures are completed and maintained.
• Maintains a clean work environment.
• Supports staff on time, attendance, and subbing needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
