The YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City is seeking Jr. Program staff to assist in supervising a safe, organized childcare program and to participate in group activities for 10–15 children at designated sites. You will help create a positive environment and engage families in a community-centered setting.

Your role emphasizes safety, consistent attendance tracking, and hands-on activities that promote healthy development and enjoyable experiences for children and families alike.

Qualifikationen

• CPR/AED/First Aid certification current and renewed annually.
• Interest in and like children; support YMCA philosophy.
• Must complete all required Redwoods trainings within 30 days of hire and renew annually.

Aufgaben

• Establish a positive relationship with the program participants.
• Plan weekly activities for a group of 10-15 children.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children.
• Know where all group members are at all times.
• Lead games and activities.
• Take daily attendance and ensure proper sign-in/out.
• Actively engage children and participants in activities.
• Prepare and distribute USDA and HEPA approved snacks and/or meals.
• Perform daily count of meals and snacks served.
• Report all injuries and incidences to the site coordinator.
• Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and participate in trainings.
• Develop positive relationships with school staff and principals.
• Display YMCA values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility.
• Develop meaningful relationships with members, donors and volunteers.
