Job summary

YMCA of Northern Utah is seeking a Site Coordinator I to oversee an assigned childcare site, ensuring a safe, enriching environment for youth and positive engagement with families and staff.

You will collaborate with the Assistant Director and Director of Youth Development on weekly updates, supervise staff, manage site operations, and support grant compliance while promoting program growth and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One or more years’ experience working with school-aged children.
• One or more years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (infant/child) or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to obtain Department of Child Care Licensing fingerprinting.
• Demonstrated experience in relationship building and communicating with a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, implements, and directs high quality childcare program and other program staff for assigned site.
• Develops positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and volunteers.
• Ensures safety of all participants by following YMCA policies and licensing rules, including emergency procedures.
• Assists in the implementation of new programs assigned by the Director of Youth Development.
• Facilitates recruitment and retention to meet grant guidelines for attendance.
